Thinking about transferring to Parent & Child fostering services from another fostering agency can feel like a big step, but you don’t have to navigate the process alone.

Parents and Child fostering services supports foster carers who are considering transferring from another fostering agency. We understand the importance of stability and continuity for foster carers and the children in their care, and we aim to make the transfer process clear, respectful and well supported.

How the Transfer Process Works

Our team will:

• Talk through your circumstances and explain the transfer process, including the steps involved and information you will need to provide.
• Work with you, your current fostering agency and the relevant Local Authority, where appropriate, to support a planned transfer and promote continuity of care.
• Review relevant information about your fostering experience and current placements as part of the transfer and assessment process.
• Consider the needs and best interests of any children in placement, with continuity and stability remaining important considerations throughout the process.
• Keep you informed throughout the process, providing clear information and an opportunity to ask questions and make informed decisions                                                                                 If you are considering transferring to Parent & Child fostering services, contact our team
